INTRODUCTORY STATEMENT

Mary Kay (China) Cosmetics Co., Ltd, a multinational cosmetics company, is offering an legal internship in our Shanghai office. This exciting opportunity is available for high caliber law school candidates interested in summer legal internship.

We are accepting applications from both law school students in their last year towards bachelor s degree or in their Graduate program.

This internship will allow you to gain practical experience in a professional multinational corporate work environment and enhance your education background, logical thinking ability, communication skills and interpersonal skills. As an intern, you will also have the opportunity to be impressed with Mary Kay s prominent culture, and work with our excellent legal team, the internship will provide you valuable experience and help you further develop your professional profile.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is of limited tenure, not to exceed four (4) months commencing no later than July 15, 2007. The intern will support Attorneys and Paralegals of Legal Resources department with legal research and other assignments.

RESPONSIBLE OF THIS POSITION WILL INCLUDE:
Assisting in legal research which focuses on advertising law, including but not limited to, regulations and laws, AIC enforcement decisions and industry practice.
Based on research results, draft and organize a guideline on making advertisement claims for reference and use in drafting and reviewing claims.
Conduct legal research on the Labor Contract Law and its implications and research on relevant issues concerning de facto employment.
Responsible for legal updates: monitor the latest legislation developments and recent cases and report on timely basis.
Other tasks as may be assigned.
Requirements:

l Law graduate students or students currently enrolled in the last year towards bachelor s degree of Law in an accredited university (Preferably Fudan or China Eastern Politics and Law University).
l Proficiency of using knowledge and skills learned in school and gained through other internship experiences.
l Excellent research and writing skills
l Proficient in English and Chinese both oral and written
l Good command of computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and etc.)
l Strong work ethics
