Communication System Engineer

【Group./Dept.】CDMA

【Responsibilities】
1. Develop algorithms and designs for implementation of mobile communication systems；
2. Support software, ASIC, and test engineers to implement and test system designs；
3. Support advanced product development and prototyping；
4. Create IP (intellectual property)；
5. Occasional debug or response to customer problems that are too difficult to be resolved by the customer support team.

【Requirements】
1. Good understanding of basic linear systems (filtering, Fourier transforms, discrete time signal processing), plus knowledge of some of the following areas: modulation and demodulation； channel coding and decoding； information theory； wireless network topology and traffic queuing； adaptive retransmission schemes； wireless network coverage and network planning issues, signal propagation, and channel characterization； antennas array and diversity；
2. Understanding of wireless communication systems, such as cellular systems (UMTS, GSM/GPRS, CDMA, etc), IEEE802.1x systems, or DVB/MPEG system is a plus；
3. Strong computer simulation skills using C/C++, or Matlab experience is useful；
4. The team member should also be capable of estimating his/her own schedule, and managing work to that schedule；
5. Good English communication skills；
6. Industrial Experience is a plus；
7. Ph.D. or MSEE in Communication Theory, or closely related topic.
