Postdoctoral Fellow at Georgia Tech with strong optimization and
computing background
A postdoctoral fellow position for the person with strong mathematical
background specifically in mathematical programming, combinatorial
optimization, stochastic processes, and probability is available at
Georgia Tech.
The candidate should have a strong background on developing
mathematical model and implementing large-scale optimization problem.
Computing techniques and experience are required on heuristic
algorithms such as Genetic Algorithm and Tabu Search, Neural Network,
etc.
It is preferable but not required if the candidate has strong
statistical and forecasting background. It is also preferable but not
required if the candidate has pavement preservation and management
background.
We are working on several large-scale research projects sponsored by
Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and states Department of
Transportation (DOT), including developing large-scale highway
pavement system. The candidate should be able to develop optimization
and computing solutions.
The research team in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering
at Georgia Institute of Technology, supervised by Professor Tsai
( ww***edu[点击查看] ) is
looking for some intelligent graduate students who are going to pursue
Ph.D. at Georgia Tech. According to US News 2007 graduate rankings,
Georgia Tech ranks 4th in Civil Engineering
