JOB DUTIES:
The Customer Service Representative II carries out the following
responsibilities:
Recommends and approves account modifications and executes documents
within authority.
Responsible for the accuracy of accounting input and success of the
accounting adjustment.
Authorizes equipment repossessions and initiates default notices.
Prepares files on repossessed accounts for transfer to repossession
specialists to handle sale of assets and requests for legal assistance.
Assists in the sale of assets.
Calculates contract buyouts and resolves other customer service
issues as assigned.
Resolves termination and adjustment grief.
Reconciles customer accounts.
The position may continue security financing statements.
The incumbent reports the Subsidiary’s past due results and
recommends additions, deletions, and modifications to the Potential Credit Loss Report.
Directs the customer services team when the manager is absent.
Assumes additional and more advanced duties, as assigned, when
experience and staffing conditions dictate.
Duties performed by the Customer Services Representative
III in the field include collecting delinquent contracts through personal contact.
Approves restructures within authority levels.
Conducts equipment repossessions.
Conducts field equipment audits as assigned and reports collection
activity to the manager on a weekly basis.

The incumbent is expected to understand the established continuous improvement standards and sees that the necessary measurements are maintained, and to understand the Equal Opportunity and Harassment policies of the company and is responsible for their application in all aspects of employment with CFSC.

MINIMUM SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Ability to:
1. Apply effective oral, written, and listening communication skills
with dealers, customers, company personnel, and the financial community.
2. Operate office equipment including a telephone system, financial
calculator, and desktop/laptop computers.
3. Apply math computation skills.
4. Apply human relations skills.
5. Apply data collection and analysis skills.
6. Analyze customer credit summaries and past due accounts.
7. Apply financing and taxation principles.
8. Prepare marketing reports and marketing related statistical reports.
Knowledge of:
1. Caterpillar products, their applications, and their markets.
2. Marketing, credit and customer services concepts and techniques.
3. CFSC financing and leasing products.
4. Account collection procedures.
5. Financing and leasing documentation principles.
6. Billing, invoicing, and dealer payment principles and concepts.
7. Security filing requirements and their applicability to bankruptcy
laws and regulations.
8. Thorough knowledge of and demonstrated ability to calculate
casualty values and amortization schedules.
