Micuron is a start-up biotech company focusing on discovery and development of novel small molecule antimicrobial drugs. The executive team of Micuron was also the founding members of Vicuron that was acquired by Pfizer for 2 billion US dollars. The company has R&D facilities in US and is currently expanding its operation into China.

Micuron is looking for an individual with entrepreneurial spirit and operational skills to manage its new division in ZhangJiang, China. This is a full-time position in China. The qualified candidates should be fluent in both Chinese and English and have the ability of managing small molecule drug discovery and development operation. The initial job responsibilities include, but not limit to:

Recruiting the Chinese R&D team and help to build a productive working culture;
Overseeing in-house drug discovery activities (medicinal chemistry, microbiology and pharmacology);
Facilitating communications between US and Chinese R&D teams;
Developing partnership with Chinese Universities and local biotech companies;
Evaluating and working with Chinese CORs for preclinical studies;
Ensuring a safe and efficient working environment;
Prior pharmaceutical R&D experience in China and interactions with the SFDA will be a plus. The position will be compensated competitively, including significant equity position of the parent company.
