Shanghai Ericsson Simtek Electronics Co., Ltd. was jointly established by Ericsson from Sweden and Shanghai Simtek Industry Co., Ltd. in 1996. It mainly designs, manufactures and sells DC/DC power module products. It is part of Ericsson Power Modules AB whose presence is all over the world. The company is located in Jiading Forward Industry Park in Shanghai.

Job Description
1 OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB
The Strategic Buyer is responsible for the sourcing activities to ensure that Ericsson has the optimal suppliers and conditions on the market by finding the lowest total cost for the Ericsson group. The Strategic Buyer is responsible for all sourcing activities of mechanics within EPM product scope

2 AUTHORITY
The Strategic Buyer has authority to perform his responsibility as set out below. Authority regarding economical decisions shall be handled in accordance with applicable directives within the organisation.

3 RESPONSIBILITIES
To carry out effectively and efficiently all the tasks which corresponds to the position.
Comply with and follow the directives, instructions and procedures in force in the company as well as in accordance with Ericsson\'s IT policies and strategies.
Responsible for defining and maintaining sourcing procedures and policies.

4 MAIN TASKS
Below, the major tasks are listed.
Responsible for strategic sourcing.
Responsible for NPI/TPI projects within product scope on the local market
Responsible for making suitable suppliers available to Ericsson.
Set up activity plans in co-ordination with the MU-organisation and EPM Sweden organization.
Responsible for all agreements locally.
Drive the annual VPA activities locally.
Drive cost reduction and localization projects.
Responsible for supplier audits.
Responsible for supplier selection.
Ensure Ericsson competitiveness locally by creating lowest possible cost totally.
Analyse cost structure to ensure lowest component cost.
Monitor supplier\'s cost structure by cost-break down analyses.

5 QUALIFICATION
University qualification or equivalent, preferably within Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Excellent skills in business management and sourcing.
Experience in interconnect business
Experience of design and technical know-how of small mechanics.
Long and proven experience in sourcing and supplier management.
Excellent communication skills and social ability.
Fluent in English speaking and writing.
