Position Description:

To cover our regional mechnical design teams' request on Collaborative Mechanical Design Environment (cMDE) implementation and development, we require an application specialist who has strong Nokia business understanding and Nokia cMDE knowledge, provides stable and high quality support.

cMDE environment is established inside Nokia to ensure efficient communication between Nokia BG’s, TP and external parties. Development of the environment is still ongoing, basic infrastructure starts to be in place. Future goals are to enable extended enterprise and knowledge based engineering.

The candidate currently is expected to take part primarily for the specification and implementation of cMDE based on the CATIA V5 & SmarTeam which are used by our designers in mechanics design and industrial design globally.

• Support the global implementation of the cMDE environment in China
• Support local user community
• Participate in creation of the top level specification of the Mech PLM environment
• Work with internal development team, TP/PT key users and TP/PT mechanics management to ensure and verify that required development activities are created and implemented as agreed
• Participate on defining deliverables and roadmap for implementation and continuous improvement of Mech PLM environment
• Participate on definition and specification work for new technology areas in Mech PLM. Ensuring that all new systems are compatible with the current environment
• Takes into account extended enterprise and Nokia’s suppliers in the specification of the future environments
• Takes ownership and drives to completion own projects defined together with TP/PT and supporting Mech PLM strategy
• Work with key strategic external and internal partners to implement development projects enabling the Mech PLM Strategic goals that fit TP/PT targets
• Manage execution of plans to timescale and budget targets
• Ensure projects are monitored / reviewed by agreed manners
• Initiate a continuous improvement capability to ensure that Nokia gets competitive advantage in mechanics design

Requirements:

• A good knowledge of CAD systems and supporting PDM systems in a PLM environment, especially CATIA and SMARTEAM
• Interested to support users on problems
• Desire to develop own skills and competencies
• Knowledge of company wide systems and the interface of Mech PLM solutions to these systems
• Knowledge of TP/PT way of working with Mech PLM solutions
• Ability to define and specify Mech PLM implementations including customization to suit the implementation in TP/PT
• Ability to define priorities and create own work plans with minimal guidance to support and implement applications that fit to Mech PLM strategy and TP/PT targets
• Ability to work with stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of Mech PLM environment
• Experience of working with companies around the globe (Europe, Asia and Americas)
• Good people management skills to chair meetings between representatives of multiple stakeholders and ensure that a favorable outcome is achieved for Nokia
• Good English language skills (written/spoken)
