职位描述：

Our client is a leader in mobile computing and its products include hardware products, software, services and accessories. A truly international company with headquarters in the USA, it has offices in North America, Asia Pacific and Europe is a pioneer in mobile and wireless Internet solutions. As part of its expansion plans, it is now seeking the following position to be part of their China team.

The Position:

1.Drive tactical day to day mechanical support at our client's Taiwan ODMs. This requires an excellent familiarity with Product Design of smart phones, with a strong emphasis in the integration of Industrial Design, RF and Audio design.
2.Support the US Design teams during Industrial Design, Engineering Requirement Specification, Initial Architectural Layout, Part Surfacing Conversion, and Part Breakout.
3. Manage the ODMs through Detailed Mechanical Design, Tooling support, Fabrication and Validation and Final Part Release
4. Ensure the product meets the Marketing feature requirements, Industrial Design requirements and Engineering Requirements Specifications.
5. Ensure ODM Product Design resources deliver to product specification and program schedule
6. Attend On Site builds, Tool First Shot runs, Design Reviews and work through issues with the ODMs.
7.Work with our U.S. based Product Development team and our client's Taiwan based ODMs to debug and perform root cause analysis of potential issues in the Product Design. You will propose solutions and bug reporting will be discussed with the U.S. based team.
8.Work will also includes driving Weekly conference calls with the U.S. based our client Engineering Teams at the ODM. Compiling a list of action items that require follow through and then working with the ODM to develop a plan to deliver appropriate responses to U.S. Engineering.
9. Ensure constant and clear communication with ODM partners, suppliers, and our client PD design teams
10. Manage and coordinate PD priorities and issues with ODM
11. Ensure the product design meets DFX requirements, i.e. Manufacturing
12. Ensure products meet Carrier, Regulatory and Environmental mechanical specifications
13. Ensure ODM implementation of aggressive Industrial Design fit and finishes
14. Ensure Tool architecture and final specification are to company standards
15. Ensure detailed design documentation is complete and submitted to US PD team for review

The Requirements:

1. B.S. or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
2. Expert in 3D CAD Pro Engineer experience, UG & Solid Works experience is a plus
3. Lead ME on several prior projects that went to production
4. Solid knowledge of injection mold tool design requirements for proper part design
5. Experience with painted plastics, plating processes, IMD solutions, twin-shot and insert molding
6. Experience with Tooling, Molding, Stamping, etc.
7. Expert in Tolerance Analysis
8.Expert in RF Issues and Audio Issues and how they relate to Product Design
9. Work closely with hardware in various stages of development
10. Ability to quickly debug and determine root cause analysis and propose solutions
11. Thorough knowledge of and experience with product design development process
12. Working knowledge of high volume manufacturing requirements
13. Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively with product teams located in the US
14. Superior communication skills, strong use of communication tools, i.e. email, spreadsheets, issues lists, etc.
15. Ability to work on multiple concurrent and overlapping projects
16. A track record of on-time delivery of successful consumer products
17. A demonstrated commitment to quality
18. Excellent English Language Skills
19. Experience in managing outside resources, i.e. ODM’s, Production Suppliers, etc.
20. Experience developing Smartphone devices a significant plus
21. Ability and willingness to work as part of a small (3-4 person) remote team with the ability to manage
22. Collaborative and product-focused attitude a must.
